Linux Mint 22(Cinnamon) Firefox 130.0.1 64bit Mint-001 - 1.0 Dual monitors My workflow depends on speed/accesibilty For this reason my habit is for Thunderbird to open on right hand mnitor (Primary Monitor) When I click a link in Thunderbird to open the conversation etc, it opens that link in the left hand monitor (secondary monitor)

(I recently moved back to Firefox following a time in brave browser.) I can no longer get the above procedure to work. Thunderbird opens as normal, but Firefox insists on opening the link in the same monitor as Thunderbird (primary)......this is messy, slow and defeats the purpose of having two monitors. I reluctantly switched back to brave.....and immediately the link would begin opening in the secondary monitor. I have combed the Firefox Settings to no avail. A friend suggested the answer may lie in the ""firefox registry"...if there is such a thing?... about:firefox ?? I have zero idea how to access that if it does exist

macOS Sonoma, M1 Not sure when this happened, but I can no longer change my zoom level in settings. As you can see in the screenshot, the - and + are both greyed out and I can't use them. Using cmd+ or cmd- doesnt work either.

Used to be my Homepage was set to Yahoo.com as my Firefox browser. Lately after putting my computer to sleep and I wake up the computer and click on the Firefox Icon on my desktop it wakes up with Hong Kong Yahoo web page and everything is in Chinese. My Windows region is set to the U.S. and Canada, and the Time zone to central mountain time. Nothing has changed there. There are no new favorites, I cleared the history and the cache, and now I get nothing BUT Hong Kong Yahoo and everything is in Chinese when I want to go to Yahoo to log into my mail account. I have now switched to microsoft Edge to get my mail, and will soon dump Firefox if I can migrate my favorites to Edge and this problem persists.

Having trouble interconnecting between two different BMO sites. Account on one site is "linked" to the other site, but when I click on the linked account I always get an error page. Checking in settings, could this be caused by the "cross site cookies"? (I usually "forget" cookies on a regular basis, so maybe not?)

I had dark mode enabled with a theme, the same theme I use on another computer, but on this computer it was making a lot of web pages dark too which is incredibly annoying and hard to read. I changed the theme on this computer to a light theme and the tabs/upper bar turned light but web pages are still dark so I'm not sure how to stop it. My computer is in light mode as well.

Disabling either the "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" or the "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" options under the Privacy & Security settings page break all of my homelab SSL certificates using Let's Encrypt and breaks the tab/card preview functionality. The only way for these to work is to leave both options enabled. Disabling either one breaks both of those.

When they are disabled the card preview just doesn't work. The Let's Encrypt-backed self-hosted services are a bit different. I get a warning that the pages are insecure, and if I click the Advanced button to continue (sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not) I get looped back to the same insecure page with no way to accept or proceed.

Things I've tried: - Disabled all Add-Ons - Deleted/reverted all modified settings in about:config - Firefox Refresh - Uninstalled/cleared cache directories/reinstalled - Deleted my whole Mozilla account and recreated, thinking it was a bad setting being synced

This is not an issue on Firefox for Android seemingly. This started on my laptop first a few weeks ago, I don't remember changing either of those privacy settings at the time but I may have.

Hi, I'm a new user switching from Chrome. I've downloaded Firefox Developer Edition, and it's a fantastic product. I'm really satisfied with it. However, the only thing I can't figure out is how to enable JavaScript editing directly from the developer tools. Could you please let me know if there's a way to do this?

I have Autofill turned off for addresses, but Firefox asks me to save anytime it sees an address. Yes I have turned it on, restarted and then turned it off and restarted. It still asks me if I want to save address. I work in a school and do data entry and updates on addresses every day. I need this fixed.

WHEN I DOWNLOADED A PDF FILE IT WAS AUTOMATICALLY SAVED AT FILE DOWNLOADS. MAYBE I ACCIDENTALLY PRESS SOMETHING AND NOW WHEN I PRESS DOWNLOAD IT OPENS THE FILE AT A NEW TAB. TELL ME HOW TO FIX IT PLEASE

i have recently acquired a new PC and want to transfer all my Firefox settings to the new PC and have two questions:- (1) What file and what location do I post the file for Homepage shortcuts which involves 4 rows x 8 = 32 shortcuts that I want to transfer to the new PC without having to do it manually. Apparently Sync wont do it for some reason that I fail to comprehend. By searching this site I have found answers that say the file "prefs.js" hold these values. However, I have copied that file from my old PC onto the new PC but no result? Where should the file be copied from and to (full path from and to)? i have used "about:profiles" but then there are paths to "default" and "root". (2) I have exported the the Bookmarks from my old PC to the new PC but in one particular case the bookmarks are not the same. In this case I have a particularly large bookmark that contains three (3) Sub-Folders plus many individual bookmarks. When importing the file it does not include all the sub-folders - only two. This baffles me because if is exported with three sub-folders I don't understand how the imported Bookmark file can be different. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Why I cannot disabling this any fucking of firefox shortcuts it's a fucking shit opening stupid fonction every time I'm hit fucking ctr function open new tab or closing actual tab or open html code on actual webpage, why it's always fucking programmer decide what opening function without freely disabling this fucking stupid function? Hi there-

On my current Dell laptop (Windows 11) I have had a recurring issue with Firefox wherein any time two sounds play at the same time (say, a Youtube video is playing in the background and I have a sound play in a browser game) it makes one of the audio channels cut out for about a second. This issue only happens with Firefox, and I previously fixed this by changing the bitrate in my audio output settings. However, after an update, this issue has returned, and the bitrate settings I was using that were able to fix this issue now doesn't allow me to play audio on Firefox at all. So now I have no way to avoid the strange bug that causes audio to cut out.

I would love some advice- is this on Firefox's end, or my computer's? Is there a driver I could install or something to avoid this bug? What causes it?
