Hello. I want to archive my older e-mails to a Local Folder that I created. I set up Archiving to archive to an "Archive" subfolder on Local Folders. But when I select e-mails and try to archive them by right-clicking and choosing "Archive," they don't appear in the folder I created. A subfolder is created with the year of the e-mails as its name, but there's nothing in it. If I look at its Properties, it shows 0 messages. I also tried selecting e-mails and copying them to the local folder, but that doesn't work either. I get the same result. I also tried repairing the folders and closing and re-opening TBird, but no help.

My Thunderbird version is 68.12.1 64 bit, running on Windows 7 x64. Any help would be appreciated. I can provide any info that might be needed.

I am about to lose access to Outlook. My current settings show imap.mail.yahoo.com and smtp.mail.yahoo.com and it is working. This is an sbcglobal.net account. When I look at what ATT says it should be due to changes they made it reflects imap.mail.att.net and smtp.mail.att.net. The ports are the same between both choices. It says on both of these when entered that it can't access and the user name or password is incorrect which is not the case. Any help out there???

How do I reset the information Thunderbird sends to my email provider (Names.co.uk)? This information has changed as I had to change my password on Outlook (i.e. Microsoft). I used Thunderbird to access this email for many years. So there is an existing account with <outlook.office365.com>. I would like to reclaim access to this account.

2) @gmail.com ---- i cannot send and i get no mails but only at my PC /// android no problem

Dear Sir We had recently installed fire fox, trying to import outlook data for same POP account with same password, but firefox showing importing data folders also created, but no progress seems. can you suggest some solutions.

I tried to open settings because I need to change account passwords. As soon as I open settings Thunderbird crashes after showing the settings page for half a second. Latest Thunderbird version under latest windows 11 version. Anyone else has this problem? Restarting the PC (miracle cure for problems under windows) did not solve the problem. Anyone else has this? Anyone knows a solution?

I cannot access my accounts passwords, so the problem is rather worrisome and urgent.

First of all I want to apologize for my lack of knowledge. I know almost nothing about HTML and CSS, but I've decided to start using some desktop e-mail client and since Thunderbird looks quite boring and I was bored too, I've tried to customize it.

Now I've got a few questions. :)

In this guide https://developer.thunderbird.net/add-ons/web-extension-themes is stated that for each variable, not only for our custom variables (--my-variable-one etc.) we should declare such variable in the style.css, then assign a key to it and then declare a value for that key.

I've started preparing my theme this way, especially that I've mainly used special keys provided by TB developers in the Theme API, but I've discovered that declaring style directly in the css file also works.

So should we always put values in json file or can we jus load css via json?

I ask because I want to change the color of the left panel in the calendar view. To be honest, I still haven't checked if declaring three separate longhand properties would work, but I wanted to pass an array to get the

1. calsidebar_splitter,
2. listSplitter {

   border-inline-start: 1px solid #0f66bd !important;

}

So initially I've wrote in css:

1. calsidebar_splitter,
2. listSplitter {

   border-inline-start: var(--my-splitter-color);

}

and unfortunately writing something like that:

"splitter_color": "--my-splitter-color"

and

"splitter_color": "[1px, solid, rgb(15, 102, 189)]

doesn't work. :/

Long story short... my ISP's AI spam filter went crazy on me. They finally fixed the problem. I can send my research notes again, but only through my ISP's web mail. But Thunderbird is still throwing a VO-101 error.

How do I reset my spam filter?

Thunderbird 115.3.3 (64-bit). Just updated to 115.10.1 (64-bit). The problem persists.

Also... Feedback: Did a Thunderbird search and automatically clicked the first entry. (Yes... that was stupid.) Ended up at a site that wanted my credit card number. Didn't give them any personal info.

This may be different than other posts. I had been trying out Waterfox for better security, but decided to remove it. I did two things: First removed Waterfox using REVO Unstaller. REBOOTED

I might have had RATAIL malware so decided to install Charter Security Suite since was free with my account. Rebooted.

At this point is when I wanted to check my email. Got profile error and Thunderbird will not load. Uninstalling , reboot and reinstalling does not help. I keep a backup of my profile folder in these cases. I really need this fixed as I have years of several profiles and email that I need. Thanks

I have selected a .WAV file to play on message receipt but no sound! "Default system sound" also doesn't sound . . . .

I tried to attach my "mailcall.wav" but your system wants only images. **Sigh**

Thunderbird has not been receiving messages for about a week. I get something in the bottom bar that says "checking server capabilities", but nothing happens from there. Any ideas?

After installation, continually asked for my name, e-mail address, Also continually asked for a donation which I have done through PayPal. In any case, the program never gets any further and, the (word, ALLOW) never can be found. Any help will be appreciated.

For some reason, I am getting message that the Certificate for server is not valid (etc.). I can not get or send my emails as of this morning. Is there something I can do to resolve this issue?

As of this morning, I can only view emails which were received or sent today. Anything sent or received before today is not displayed. I am still able to access emails received prior to today by using the Search function. This only applies on my desktop. On my laptop, emails are displayed normally.

I've used Thuderbird for years; no problems.

Installed 102 on my new laptop running Win 11. After initial download of new mail, it never downloaded new messages again. Tried 115, same problem Tried numerous re-installs of both; same problem.

I recently upgraded from Thunderbird 116 to 128 on Kubuntu 22.04, since then it has crashed at least once every day.

How do I allow remote images in the Android app version of T-Bird?

I have the 'allow remote content in messages' selected in the settings in my desktop app, but I can't find any way to allow them on my phone.

Is there a way to stop Thunderbird automatically marking my messages as read when I delete them to the Trash? I tried stopping automatic marking as read in settings but this makes no difference Thunderbird 128.6.0esr 64bit
