it is very common to happen: E-mail writen in local idiom and English. I cant use spell feature languages at the same time. I hope that you can make it easy to do it.

EX: I wrote some e-mails in Portuguese with some English words.

Are there any add-on to do this double spell?

Do not know of any symultaneous language spell check.

best to download the dictionaries you require then type letter using one dictionary, then swap dictionary (under 'Spelling' it should show available dictionaries) and perform spell check.

I like to write in French and then put my English translation. But when you change dictionaries, the previous language is then highlighted as spelling errors. I don't know how the e-mail appears at the other end?

I need both dictionaries for the grammar!

If you run an English spell check on French and English text then it will show up potential spelling mistakes on the all the text including the French section, which are correct in French. But if you have already written the French part first and spell checked it then you know the french section is good, so you ignore the English spell check on the French section and only correct the English section.

When a dictionary spell check is used on an email, it does not automatically know which section is which, so if you have auto spell check as you type enabled it will flag anything that seems not corect for the dictionary you have chosen to use.

but if you select/highlight the eg: English part and then click on 'spelling', it will only run through that section saving you from telling it to ignore each potential French mistake.

If it irritates you having the French part showing as errors when using English dictionary, this is the best way around it.

Disable the auto spell check as you type.

  • Tools > Options > Composition > Spelling tab

Then type the French section and select 'spelling' and the french dictionary. then type the English section. Highlight the English text and then select 'Spelling' on the English dictionary.

The email will appear exactly as you sent it. One part in French and the second part in English. Spell check does not run on received emails.
