firefox does not work with yahoo mail, why ???
for some reason firefox does not work with the new Email window on yahoo.com All the other browsers work with yahoo mail just fine!! Are you working on a fix???

Hi ralphieboy, Thank you for your question, I understand that this can be very frustrating when trying to access your mail on yahoo. Currently, Yahoo does not seem to support your installed version of Firefox.
Please update to the most recent version of Firefox for the best experience with the modern web.

I have the latest version and it still doesn't work!! Yahoo says its outdated but we know its not!!

You have or had an add-on installed - FBSMTWB (Fast Browser Search) - that locked your browser version identification at 3.6.17.
See - Firefox is showing the wrong User Agent - to reset it.
Mac OS X 10.5 is an old version. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-no-longer-works-mac-os-x-10-5 If your hardware is compatible with 10.6 or newer, probably best to update your operating system so that you can use the latest versions of Firefox. Otherwise, Firefox 16 is the last version of Firefox that works with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) on an Intel-based Mac.
That the forum sees your OS as Mac OS X 10.5 is likely also caused by the user agent because you wouldn't be able to install Flash 15.0 on the Mac OS X version.

You can reset the general.useragent.override on the about:config page.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I have had the problem of Yahoo! mail freezing (my computer freezing) with Firefox right after I boot up my computer and sign into my Yahoo! mail account. I have to either shut down my computer or use Control + Alt and press Delete to eventually bring up the Task Manager option. Then, once the choice for Task Manager comes up, I can click on cancel and Yahoo! mail and my computer have "un-frozen." I have followed all the recommendations for updating Firefox, clearing caches, checking if an Add-On is the problem, etc., as well as all the recommendations on Yahoo! help pages. Nothing has improved the situation to date. Firefox info says the problem is with Yahoo! Yahoo! says it is a browser problem. I just want the problem to be fixed.
