When moving my account to another profile on my computer it says my username/password is incorrect when I know it is not?

I am trying to move my email account from one profile to another on the same computer because the other profile is now someone elses but when I enter in all the correct information such as my username and password it tells me that it is wrong even though I know it is correct as I have quadruple checked it in my original account information? Do I need to log out of my original account to be able to sign onto a new one on the same computer? I am nervous to do this because I need this email and I dont want to be told the same thing after I log out of the other profile and so then I have no access to my email.

Not sure what you mean with 'log out'. In any case, the answer is 'no'.
