how to lock the scroll bar and multiple tabs to stop them from scrolling erratically
i upgraded to Windows 10. Now firebox (yes, it's the latest version) scrolls up and down in webpages erratically. I cant control the right scroll bar. Even after clicking on it or moving it up and down, either with use of touchpad, the arrow keys or the arrows atop/below the scroll bar itself, it just moves wherever it wants on the page. The same thing happens when multiple tabs are open. They scroll left and right erratically. Help! this is most annoying, frustrating and time consuming. I've already searched multiple forums and blogs, disabled autoscrolling and smooth scrolling, all to no avail.

On my system, the mouse pad has a mind of it's own. So I opened it's settings, and turned on "disable when mouse available." No problem now.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Does this also happen with no mouse attached?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that has effect.
cor-el and FredMcD, thank you both for your prompt response. Unfortuately neither solution has fixed the problem. At least I found out the problem was not in Firefox (?) or at least I hope it is. In Widows10 Safe Mode, the ADJUST TOUCH AND PEN option was disabled, so I was unable to try that as a Fix. Appreciate you both. If you think of anything else, do not hesitate to pass it on, please.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!
OMG, Never have I spent a more frustrating few days!! The solution was found in a youtube post by Allan.
went to http://www.drivethelife.com/ and downloaded the driver repair and updater The site gives you a single user activation key FREE OF CHARGE. it's yours for the lifetime of the PC/laptop it is loaded into. it quickly runs the SCAN and tells you what's wrong, run the repair and restart your system and voila!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
I hope the link helps others. thank you FredMcD and cor-el for your input above. Sadly, none of the solutions you offered helped me.
