I use a slower Pentium-4 Windows-XP computer (4-Gigs of RAM) because many of my programs will only run on Windows-XP. I recently installed Comcast internet service, but Comcast could not configure it to work with my Internet Explorer. So he set it to use Mozilla Firefox. But my internet is rather slow and sometimes crashes. Could it be because I still have Internet-Explorer installed on my computer ?? ... Should I complete "UNINSTALL" Internet Explorer so that Firefox will work better.

Internet Explorer won't affect Firefox, so there's no point in trying to remove it. I say "trying" because the version of IE that came with WinXP can't be removed, its part of Windows. It is possible to remove the later versions of IE that came as an update for WinXP, like IE8, but as long as you don't try to use IE when you are using Firefox it's not going to slow your PC down any further.

If Firefox is crashing for you, see this support article. Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly)
