Please see attached image. On this particular site, I went from the general page into the article. VERY often there will be two of the current page along with the two history lines from the original page, not just one. Running Firefox 54.0.1 (32-bit) on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I think if you check the web addresses, you will find that the addresses are different.

Don't worry about it.

Thanks for having a look Fred. It's only a nuisance thing that I'll often forget & just click back & nothing happens because the pages get duplicated.

It could also be a way of a website trying to get rid of your Adblock. I have seen websites trying to reload multiple times in quick succession. However, this method obviously does not work anymore. Additionally, it is trying to increase the traffic. Does it only happen with Adblock? Or in general?

Hey Josh,

I suspect you're right. Firefox runs Adblock & I rarely use ME or Chrome. As my primary browser, it happens mostly on the page in question when I am checking local news/events. Their sister pages (eg www.smh.com.au) seek subscription & given abc.net.au is national & free, I really don't need political BS, just what's happening in Canberra. Funny that more widely distributed articles among their group DON'T have this problem. As mentioned, it's only an annoyance that I thought perhaps greater IT minds had come across a fix. In it's raw for it is laden with ads & pop-ups so I guess this is the cause.

It is a possibility, I assume blocking certain JS scripts or whatever they have there would be an option for a double redirect. Unfortunately, I do not have time to do this at this moment. If I find a solution, I will be sure to update this topic.
