How can I have my bookmarks in a drop-down list again instead of having to open them in a side bar?

I'm using the ESR version with Windows because my bank site still uses Java. When I upgraded to 52.9, the new version now opens a sidebar when I click on the bookmarks tab and it's on the other side of the screen. So now, I have to click the toolbar icon on the tight of the screen, then select and click the bookmark option on the drop-down list which opens a side bar on the left side of the screen. Now I have to scroll to the other side of the screen, select the bookmark I want from the side bar and then close the sidebar to have the page I want full screen again. Before, there was a separate bookmark toolbar icon that I could simply click and scroll down to the bookmark I wanted and select it and, because it was a drop-down menu, I didn't have to do all the additional clicking around to navigate, and the drop-down menu list would behave as all drop-down menu lists do, it would disappear and get out of my way after I made a selection, and the toolbar icon was always available to me to choose other bookmarks without having to have a side bar pinned to my screen. So, my question is simple enough: How can I put my bookmarks back into a simple drop-down menu from the tool bar?

Hi, 3 ways, Go to Customize and Drag out the Library Icon or drag out the Star with a Pan under it. Or get the original Menu Bar back Customize mousing to the bottom left to Toolbars and turn it and Bookmarks Toolbar on if used that.

Or Mouse to the top of the browser to a empty space and Right Click, turn on Menu Bar / Bookmark Toolbar

Or the alternative Bookmark Managers : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?platform=windows&q=Bookmark%20Manager

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I pulled the star icon out as you suggested, and that put the bookmark tools back as I had them before the update, and it even put them back in the same place as before. It's much more convenient, for me, anyway. Thanks for your help, I'm a creature of habit, so I'm glad to be able to use my bookmarks as I have for years now. I greatly appreciate your quick response to my relatively minor issue.
