With latest upgrade to Firefox 60 on macOS, Cmd + left/right key now is navigating pages back/forward even in the text boxes where it should just move cursor to the respective end. This is really irritating and bad customer experience.

Keyboard changes don't usually change in Browser settings those changes are through the O/S that makes those keyboard assigned changes.

Hi ankitcom, on Windows, the equivalent Ctrl+Left Arrow goes back regardless of whether my cursor is in an editing field, so that sounds normal to me for the past many years.

If you just switched from the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52 to Firefox 60, it's possible you had an add-on that disabled that key combination or changed it, and the add-on is not compatible with the new version. Is that a possible explanation?

I don't have MacOS handy to experiment with, unfortunately. Hopefully another Mac users will have an insight on this.

I suppose as a possible workaround you could add the Shift key to the combination to select from the current point to the beginning, then tap left arrow to clear the selection, but that wouldn't be very convenient.

Yes, but with the latest firefox update, it has become different in these 2 cases as I've mentioned.

Wouldn't that be the Home and End key?

On other platforms "Alt + Left/Right" would navigate the tab history.

I would expect that this still works on Mac.

I was thinking of Alt+Left Arrow. I think.
