I had an account, account no longer found?

When I try to login, says user not recognised.

I have a (sync/recovery?) code looks like.... x-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

but nowhere to put it in.

Any advice / help would be appreciated.

Is the account recently made, or an old account you have not used for a while?

Are you talking about sync, or something else?

Sounds that this is an account created on a previous version of Sync. The currently used Sync 1.5 version uses a Firefox Account and no longer uses a separate recovery key, but uses a key derived from the password. You will have to create a new sync account.

Hello

Thanks for the replies.

I was referring to a bookmarks sync tool on the browser.

By the sounds of what you say its an old sync system.

I guess I used the sync/share system 3-4 years ago, and I guess that is now obsolete.

Oh well ho hum.
