Saved IE favorites immediately prior to FF import so they're current. Title question describes the problem. Is this an IE issue?

Are you using the Bookmarks Toolbar?

Yes, I see that. So, since it's there I just need to set it up.

Thanks.

Hi fforie, They should appear in a folder on your Bookmarks Toolbar as "From Internet Explorer".

Did you use the import wizard in Firefox to import the IE favorites or did you export the IE favorites to an HTML file and import this file in Firefox ?

The latter. IE shows a folder named 'favorites bar' and I did not see this in the FF import folder. I found a workaround - I copied all the IE favorites bar items to a new IE folder with an appropriate name and then exported to FF. The new folder came across and I was able to drag the favorites bar items to their own FF folder. This could just be a terminology thing combined with a I-don't-know-where-anything-is or what's available thing.

Now, naturally, items in the favorites bar are places I go to often. I like the convenience of not having to search through a folder structure, or even a drop-down, to navigate to common sites. I presume this facility can be duplicated in FF?
