Folders dont appear in bookmark search
Steps to reproduce Ctrl+Shift+O Right click->new folder...->Name it "ass"->Add Click on "Search Bookmarks" type "ass" no results

True. Bookmark search doesn't search in folder names. If that is essential, there are add-ons you could consider. For example, this one uses the sidebar:
