I have been trying to get on the Malwarebytes website, but I keep getting;

Your connection is not secure

The owner of links.malwarebytes.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

links.malwarebytes.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.fortinet.com, fortinet.com Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

This happens with all of my web browsers. Is it safe to allow Fortinet ?

Well, good news. I am finally home from rehab and was now able to renew Malwarebytes. Thank you all for your help.

I guess the problem was with the rehab's web.

Are you using a bookmark to go to that specific domain as bookmarks easily get broken ?

Why not use this URL ?

Whether I use the Malwarebytes program or try the link you posted, I get the error I posted above.

What do you get from nslookup?

C:\Users\jonznsuse>nslookup Default Server: GT-R Address: 190.180.100.69

> malwarebytes.com Server: GT-R Address: 190.180.100.69

Non-authoritative answer: Name: malwarebytes.com Addresses: 99.84.118.45

         99.84.118.96
         99.84.118.99
         99.84.118.66

It is strange that you are getting an error on links.malwarebytes.com if you are going directly to the www site.

Fortinet makes security software, so this could be similar to an OpenDNS/Cisco Umbrella error where the security provider has intercepted the connection for some reason.

But if you use Fortinet software, you probably wouldn't have posted this thread.

Are you using a VPN? If so, possibly your access to the site is blocked due to an issue with your current exit node. You could try changing servers.

Alternately, you could be infected and the malware author stole a Fortinet certificate to fool victims. I guess you could try restarting Windows 10 in Safe Mode with Networking.

I don't have Fortinet that I know of. I'm not using a VPN but currently, my location is a re-hab.

I can't use the computer Safe Mode with Networking because Bluetooth programs don't load.

If you turn on DNS over HTTPS or change your DNS over HTTPS provider, does that make any difference?

Firefox DNS-over-HTTPS

DNS over HTTPS I tried both ways. No change.

Excluding specific domains; network.trr.excluded-domains. This is listed as a boolear. I click the + and it switches between true and false Still no access.

<snip> Here it must be text/string because localhost, local are there by default and I have added other domains.

Should I use Add Exception on Fortinet to access the Malwarebytes website?

I'll be going home soon. Maybe it's something about this location.
