Frontier seems to be blocking Google. I bet all of you have Frontier as your ISP. I had an easy work around, but they caught on pretty quick. Now you have to use the UK version of Google, or one from another country. Who says we don't need net neutrality?

If your ISP is re-directing/blocking Google, you can circumvent it by switching to another DNS server. Try changing your DNS servers to the OpenDNS servers, for details see http://www.opendns.com/

Another DNS service you can try is the Google public DNS servers which are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

going to google.uk.com and then clicking on google.com at the bottom solved the problem

8.8.8.8, and 8.8.4.4 worked for me. I knew this could be done, but I didn't know what to DNS server to use.

Thanks for the help.

Google searches started working again last night without going to google.uk.com. Perhaps it was just a quirk in the system.
