I accessed YouTube briefly, but as soon as I linked my YouTube account to my Google account (now required by YouTube), I got that message.

hey there, the same thing was happening to me. I linked the account and then that weird error message appeared. one thing solved the issue for me: hit Ctrl+Shift+Del (clear recent history), expand the Details and then leave only Cookies marked. click on Everything on the time range drop box. then click Clear Now. restart firefox and you can access youtube and login again! hope it helped. ;)

Hi, redwhite,

Thanks so much for your response. When I went to YouTube to follow your procedure, the site, then the videos, came right up, so I didn't have a chance to try it out. Hopefully, you'll have helped some others, because I see that 145 people had this same problem.

Maybe Mozilla's fixed it. Thanks again.

Hey, I have an easier solution. No need to wipe all of your cookies or restart firefox:

Go to Tools > Options, select the Privacy Tab, then click on the link to "remove individual cookies".

In the window that comes up, type youtube into the Search box at the top, and then remove all of the cookies that are displayed.

Now when you visit youtube.com you'll be signed out of your account, and you can sign back in without getting the redirect error.

I have this problem too on a Windows XP SP3 machine, but on my Windows 7 machine using the same version of Firefox (3.6.13) I don't have a problem.

I tried xmt7's suggestion which allowed me to access youtube.com again and the login page, but as soon as I log in to the account again, the problem happens all over again.

Help!!
