I pinned app tabs and they disappeared so I went to help and did the removal of the session store (forum help directions). Now, my app tabs come back as regular tabs not pinned? HELP?

I pinned apps and fixed the issue where they disappeared when reopening FF4. Now, they come up as regular tabs and not pinned.

Have you used them for several sessions.

If you close Firefox (File > Exit) then Firefox will come up with your app-tabs and if your option for When I start Firefox is "Open my Home page" it will also open your homepage and if you have your home page as an app-tab you get one that is an app-tab and one that is not an app-tab.

Same thing but you close all your tabs before exiting Firefox, you would have seen you app-tabs being closed as well, and you would have only your home page come up as a normal tab.

Since app-tabs can have a Back/Forward history I prefer to close all of my tabs and recreate my app-tabs by clicking on a folder name and then "Opening all in Tabs" then making the first ones app-tabs. Actually the reason is not the "since", it is because I don't expect app-tabs to last forever through 200 sessions or even 10 that is what bookmarks are for.

I have used Firefox since it first came out, and always loved it. Firefox 4.0.1 is a different story. This must be one of the worst software upgrades across the board, of any software package I have ever used. I have stuck with it for a few weeks, and I have now finally given up.

Constant crashes, constant freezes, many plugins no longer work, my favorite among them, i.e PDF plugin to see PDF files inside the browser. AppTabs disappear over and over.

I have downgraded back to 3.6.17 and hope things will be better again.

"I don't expect app-tabs to last forever through 200 sessions or even 10 that is what bookmarks are for."

That's just entirely ridiculous. You're essentially saying "user error", but only because your understanding of how it should work is plain silly.

If you have deleted the sessionstore.js file then you need to create all APP Tabs once again to get them back.

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the Browsing History when you close Firefox to prevent losing your App Tabs.
