Since last upgrade, "Find in page" box only opens in one tab - doesn't stay open at bottom of screen. How do I make it stay open all the time?

Used to be when I opened the Find bar (either control F or Menu/Edit/Find) it would stay open at the bottom of the Firefox window in all tabs and in any new tabs I opened. Now it only opens in the current tab; when I switch tabs or open a new one, I have to open the Find bar in the new tab.

I use "Find in page" many times a day, so this is extremely inconvenient. Is there a setting I can change so that once I open the Find bar it stays open for the whole browser and all its tabs?

Thanks,

Max

Thank you - this is going to save me so much time!

Note that you can easily open the Find bar with F3 in other tabs to do a search with the previously used search terms.

Well isn't that special, there's an addon.

Now will someone kindly tell us how to make the addon work so that the find bar stays open when you go to a new tab? Because I installed it and the bar still doesn't stay open.
