how do i show my bookmark toolbar during full screen mode?
When entering full screen mode the bookmark toolbar disappears, then reappears when exiting full screen mode. I have tried to use the customize screen/menu and selecting the option for the bookmarks toolbar does nothing to show the toolbar during full screen use.
No, I don't want to use the sidebar while in full screen mode either which is why I have items in the bookmarks toolbar and not in the sidebar.
thank you

Add code to the userChrome.css file below the default @namespace line.
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */ #PersonalToolbar[moz-collapsed="true"][collapsed="false"] {visibility:visible!important}
The customization files userChrome.css (user interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
Cor,
Thanks for your input but I'm not sure if I did this right,
To clarify some things:
I just upgraded to FF29, I never used fullscreen mode in FF28 so I don't know if it ever showed the bookmarks toolbar in fullscreen mode before, I never had a userChrome.css file; so I created one following the instructions on the mozillazine article and I just copied the coding that you supplied.
Still doesn't show the bookmark toolbar, any additional help you could give me would be appreciated.
Thanks
For additional reference I am attaching screenshots of the folderpath, file, coding in the first image,
A shot of the full screen in action with the css file in place,
And a shot of the customize window showing that bookmarks toolbar is indeed selected but not visible during fullscreen,
The fourth shot is FF OUT of full screen mode back in the customize screen but it shows the bookmarks toolbar

The first screenshot shows the userChrome.css as being a text file, so the real file name is userChrome.css.txt and that is why it isn't working.
Windows hides some file extensions by default.
You can see the real file type (file extension) in the properties of the file via the right-click context menu in Windows Explorer.
- Create the chrome folder (lowercase) in the <xxxxxxxx>.default profile folder if this folder doesn't exist
- Use a plain text editor like Notepad to create a (new) userChrome.css file in this folder (the names are case sensitive)
- Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the editor window and make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
- Make sure that you select "All files" and not "Text files" when you save the file via "Save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css. Otherwise Windows may add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with a not working userChrome.css.txt file
Thanks for that input there, got it saving as a css file now, but it still hides the bookmark toolbar in fullscreen mode...
I've double checked the code you supplied was copied correctly as well.
Any other ideas?
Not showing the Bookmarks Toolbar when in Full Screen mode when the cursor is moved to the top of the browser window, has been the default action since Firefox 4 was released.
Got any way to make it show?
Fullscreen wasn't something I was even aware of until FF29... would love to use it if i had access to my bookmark toolbar in Fullscreen mode...
