Tried everything. Only this one site will not play video with Firefox. Never had this problem until yesterday after I updated Java.

I've refreshed firefox, uninstalled all plugins, reinstalled TWICE. Disabling plugins like adblock do not resolve the issue.

All that displays is a black screen where the video should play.

Video plays on all other sites. Also can play the video on same laptop using safari.

If video plays fine on other sites, it is probably not a problem with firefox. It sounds like a problem with that website. Perhaps contact their support?

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

more options

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can also try to disable hardware acceleration in the Flash player and disable protected mode in the Flash player See also:
