Anyone else completely baffled by the invisible "Pocket" icon?
Just updated to 38.0.5. Activated Pocket, but the icon is nowhere to be found. Tried Customize, no icon. Bookmarks has "View Pocket List," but I cannot ever add anything to the List, because there is icon or action to do so!

Disabled add-ons one by one, no joy.
Now it seems as if is WAS my theme, Red Cats (blue). When I switch to the default theme, the Pocket icon is there. When I use my theme, and mouse over the space just to the right of the Search box, I get a text "Save to Pocket" pop-up message, but clicking it does nothing.

Are you using the default theme because a custom theme may not include this icon?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
Using Red Cats (blue) theme-- switched to default theme, but still no Pocket icon. Started in Safe Mode, and Pocket icon appears. Probably an add-on like Classic Theme Restorer, G-Mail Restorer, Font Finder, or Firebug.
Everything else works fine, so I'll just do without the Pocket feature.
Same problem here. Where is Pocket?.
Is pocket enabled?
- browser.pocket.enabled = true
Note that pocket is only enabled for some locales
- browser.pocket.enabledLocales = en-US de es-ES ja ja-JP-mac ru
You can try to click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window. Note that the "Save to Pocket' button can be in three places (on toolbar, "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list, and in the Customize palette).
Yes I went to about:config and pocket is enabled.
My locale is EU. Language English and my local is The Fox and Hound. LOL.
I have Lego blocks as my appearance.
I also tried customize as sometimes icons are lurking there too. But no joy.
Uhh setting default will not impact my settings etc?.
Is the value of general.useragent.locale included in the list I posted above?
Clicking Restore Defaults restore the toolbar customization to the default, so you need to redo any changes you made. There is an Undo button that you can click in case it didn't help.
I believe pocket may only be activated on some locales' builds
jscher2000 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1061019#answer-736250
From what I can see, Pocket integration is only turned on by default for users whose Firefox was built for one of these "locales":
- en-US
- de
- es-ES
- ja, ja-JP-mac
- ru
Are you using a standard en_US build, or one of those listed above or some other one ?

Ah. To me that seems to be a more likely explanation than cor-el's
Mozilla seems to roll it out gradually. So I will wait a few days first.
Cheers mate.

I am in the US using a standard en_US build, but one of my add-ons prevents the Pocket icon from showing up at all. I will disable them one by one to isolate. (It's not my theme, as switching to default theme does not help.)
Still my FF is English. Although I use a VPN . Today having a German IP.

Ooops- now found that if I mouse over the space, wait for the text pop-up, and carefully click a tiny sliver of white that appears, the Save to Pocket function actually works. I guess my theme is not letting the Pocket icon appear...
