Why do privacy settings keep changing from "Use custom settings" to "Remember History" after logging out of some sites?
High gang ! I always use Private Browsing mode when surfing. I only use cookies as I need them by checking the Accept Cookies from sites" box in Options/Privacy. This problem just started recently. I visit a site and do what I am going to do whether it be banking or logging in to mail with cookies enabled. When I log out of the site and go back to deselect cookies the privacy setting is changed to "Always remember history" from "Use custom settings for history" without me doing any changes. This has happened several times with different websites in the same manner. It's almost as if the site is adjusting the privacy settings to stop Private Browsing mode. Has anyone else seen this? I should also state that I did recently upgrade to Windows10 but this does not seem like it could be a Win 10 issue. Firefox version is 41.0. Thank you ahead of time for any responses :)

"Use custom settings for history" allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History". "Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
