Hello,
Have you tried starting firefox in safemode?
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again. Thanks
Howdy. The error reports point to a bug that is marked as fixed. That's a lotta plugin you got installed there, however.
See if you can obliterate
- MetaStream 3 Plugin r4
- Shockwave Flash 19.0 r0
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.0.4.144
These I could see interfering with each other. MetaStream gets installed with a player application that is apparently problematic for some users and is generally not needed. Flash you should remove to get a fresh start (make extra sure to not get the guff installed, only Flash). And finally, Shockwave needs to go until Flash is in order (do you even need Shockwave for a specific purpose?).
This has an air of third-party installers about it, i.e. MetaStream and Shockwave piggybacking their way in.
Once you've cleared up plugins and tried with fresh Flash, if the problem reoccurs, try Safe Mode as suggested by @Sir.Mayo. It will disable Extensions (of which there were quite a few, too) but should leave Plugins available.

That is not correct. RESOLVED DUPLICATE means this is a duplicate of another bug, Not that the bug is fixed.
michellefreeman6 If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:
- see if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
- disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
https://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Thanks for the correction, Fred. I checked the linked duplicate and I believe it said resolved-fixed. I cannot access the crash reports right now, I think there's a Bugzilla update going on.
