I recently installed Win.7 and every time I open Firefox I get "problem opening page". So I go into tools, advanced, network, settings and change to "NO Proxy" then OK . I don't have a proxy, so then the website opens on "try again". But , the minute I close out Firefox and restart. It doesn't save my No Proxy settings and switches to whatever it feels like. And I right back where I started. Again, I have to reset the proxy setting every single time I restart Firefox.

However it does hold my "no proxy" settings in Thunderbird

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
