How do I put my address book in alphabetical order by last names ?

Open an address book e.g. Personal Address Book or All Address Books. The latter will allow you to sort all of your individual address books. In the Address Book menu: View|Show Name As and select Last, First View|Sort By|Name View|Sort By|Ascending

No menu? Press alt or F10.
