Hi,
Yahoo Secure Search disappeared from my Firefox browser after a Firefox update. Do you know how I can get it back?
McAfee Web Advisor (which I believe secure search came with) is enabled and I have added Yahoo Search to the search box but I can’t see how to get Yahoo Secure Search back. I found this very useful because it would flag up dangerous sites in a search list thereby preventing me clicking on them.
Advice appreciated.
Thanks.

If you keep history for a while, Firefox probably saved a lot of McAfee search result pages. Can you find one and see whether it still works, meaning, it still has the safe site signals in the page? You might be able to keep using that site even if the search plugin has gone missing, at least until that is sorted out.

If that was a addon then possible it's consider legacy or it's version isn't compatible with the newer version. If the author doesn't update then FF can't do anything about it. You need to contact yahoo search creator about this and have them update so it works again.
Hi joseph22, thank you for sharing your Firefox configuration. You have a McAfee WebAdvisor extension but it shows as disabled. Could you double-check that on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then scan down the right side and check on McAfee.
If that version won't work in Firefox 62, you might check on whether they have an update available.
