On my new computer I installed TB 68.1.0 and attempted to download gContactsync 3.1.7. After clicking on Download button a window opens showing the path to this file: gcontactsync-3.1.7-tb.xpi. The body of the window says:

"This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page."

My Default Apps Settings page shows TB as the default email program.

Need some help, please! Thanks

Instead of clicking on Download in your browser, right-click it, Save Link As..., and download the xpi file. In TB, Tools/Add-ons, click the gear icon at the upper right, Install Add-on from File..., select the xpi file.
