68.4.1 "About" dialogs says it is updating, but it never finishes. (profile is on a shared network drive.)

68.4.1 update hangs up ("About" dialogs says it is updating, but it never finishes). Neither "Run as administrator" or "Safe mode" helps. Only unique element of my setup (AFAIK) is that the profile is on a shared network drive.

I reverted to 60.9.1. And this is the second time subsequent to release of 60.9.1 that the update process has failed.

What did you mean to say????

I think (I hope) that it does not matter that profile is on a shared network drive, but thanks for making that clear.

68.4.1 IS the newest version with nothing newer, so your not in a tight spot yet. Is that the only thing misbehaving?

Yes, that is the only thing misbehaving

If this happened after a TB update, you might be able to fix it by deleting the global search sqlite file:

I really don't see why this would affect updates, but it can't do any harm, and seems to work for many users.

Thanks for the response, but I think I will wait for the next point release.

This does not seem like my issue, so I think I will skip the pain of finding the 68.4.1. update, having it fail, having to delete thunderbird, reinstall from by collection of install kits, and run the update to 60.9.1
