Every day the first time I run Firefox I get a popup in the top right corner saying 'Get the new Microsoft Edge". I've seen the links to turning off 'Get tips, tricks and suggestion' in settings; this is a company laptop and that is set to off by my company.

The thing is I do have Edge and I use it, it just isn't my default browser. Any suggestion?

Not really knowledgeable with that "feature" in the latest versions of Firefox (like Fx 70 & later), but see if these support articles help you for now.

The support contributors who have a handle on that stuff typically become available / arrive here starting in 5 or 6 hours, depending on the Time Zone where they are located.

And the "company setup" might be a factor as to how (of if) that is fixed or disabled. That is more a potential complication than my lack of "keeping up with the curve" of Firefox and internet related security and mixing "mobile device" features in desktop / laptop devices, for parity / same features.

Hopefully this helps you or 'triggers' something in your mind .....

hi, do you happen to have set bing.com or another microsoft property as your homepage in firefox - if so please try to change it or see if an adblocking addon like ublock origin can get rid of the unwanted prompt:

How to set the home page
