Version 89 has totally messed up the tool bar area I have had it in light mode for years so I can read dark text on light/white background With the new version everything is darker except the print which is now light gray so I have gray on gray text on background Tabs no longer have any differentiation Bookmarks along the top are also on a darker background with the text lighter and harder to read (hey I read English not pictographs) The address bar and search bar are all gray instead of being light enough to read. This is horrendous for anyone with vision issues. If they needed a medium theme between light and dark why didn't they just make one instead of ruining what was there? And why would you make the top margin bigger reducing screen space? And whose bright idea was it to put tabs up out of line of sight of the window and thus make them harder to reach? Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you - that left me with one giant black tab and no way to see the tab I was on I've given up on light mode and gone to using dark mode I don't like the dark mode, finding it really depressing, but at least I can see the tabs even if reading white on black is harder than reading black on white for me.

Under the three line menu on the right hand side, select "Add-Ons and Themes", there is a "System theme" that provides a far better contrast for the tool bar area.

The sad thing is that it states "Follow the operating system setting for buttons, menus, and windows.", which means that the FireFox team have managed to create a theme so bad that people will now switch to a Microsoft inspired theme out of choice.

Thank you but I can detect no difference at all between the two themes. I sure wish either one of them looked like the sample they show in the list of add-ons with the nice dark lines showing what the lettering should look like, the tabs darker if not in use, and the section showing the link with a white background not a gray one.
