Directing emails from a single sender to a folder rather than have them appear in my in box

I recently joined an organization which uses Base Camp to communicate all users business back and forth. Each time a communication is sent in Base Camp an email is generated by Base Camp and sent to all of the subscribers. I set up the filter to identify both the repetitive sender email as well as the repetitive portion of the subject as the second filter. I created a folder under local folders to accept these notification emails and directed the filter to route each filtered email to this location. I selected those emails that were to be received as well as the ones which were currently at my in box. I selected run and nothing happened to the ones in my inbox. I waited an hour or so until several other emails from that address had arrived and checked my folder and it was still empty. How do I split the stream of emails with one sender going to a designated folder and the rest going to my in box?

Filter is the right way but maybe something in the way your filter is defined doesn't work. Can you add a screenshot of the filter rule, or describe all of the settings you created? (Add image below your reply) Another tip - if you make a filter that just stars the messages you want without moving them and run that - it tests just part of the function to prove that it matches to the desired messages. If that works then at least you know the right messages are selected. Tinker with that one until it works, then add the move to folder part and adjust that part until it works.
