Why do I need to keep signing in to You tube every time I open Firefox

Every time I re open Firefox I have to re sign in to You Tube which then I get bombarded with Google alert messages. So annoying

Do you clear cookies on exit?

Uncheck Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed in Settings.
