The original way I set up my account was with [edited] @unseen.is; showing with the little icon next to it in the upper right corner of the page (Lockwise)

That ISP is no longer functioning. Therefore, when signing in, the prompt says, to "check my email". But of course I can't because it no longer exists!

I can't seem to figure out how to change it to This one from which I'm sending this message from: [edited] @proton.me

However I did change the https://accounts.firefox.com in the Firefox Lockwise. (See attached image)

You can only remove old firefox account is to login and delete the account from the firefox account settings. If you no longer have access to the email in question you won't be able to remove that old login. That's considered a lost account and there's nothing more that can be done.
