Favicons for shortcuts added to the startpage do not persist. In other words, when I add a shortcut to the startpage, the shortcut initially displays the expected favicon for the respective site. However, when I leave the startpage and then come back, the shortcut favicons are no longer displayed. Instead, the shortcut is simply a colored box containing the first letter in the name of the website. I have already tried the prosaic troubleshooting meaure of deleting the app cache (to no avail), and I am using the most up-to-date version of Firefox on Android. Any other ideas, or is this a bug?

Clarification: the disappearing favicon issue I am experiencing seems to occur only upon re-opening Firefox after I close it via the Android app switcher, but not upon re-opening it after using Firefox's menu-driven quit command.
