I would look again at the last article I linked to particularly the last section https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Searches%20are%20redirected%20to%20another%20site#w_all-searches-are-affected and also Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

Initially at least you should try from safe mode but without making any changes, so ignore the first dialogue window and just click on the continue button. You may have some sort of search helper plugin that is installed and may need removing by using Windows Vista or you may have malware that could prove difficult to identify and remove.

I have the same problem. It started suddenly. In the morning I was using Firefox with no probs. That afternoon, I got the error message on every website I tried. I ran a malware check, deleted two infected files, but no help. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice. I like Firefox and would like to use it, but right now I am using Google Chrome, until I get this problem fixed.
