Why isn't Firefox being released in memory. I go to reload Firefox and I get ann error message " Firefox is already runing. I have to goto the task manager to manually kill the proccess even though there is no active program on desktop.

I am working with Firefox with multiple tabs open, and 2 instances of Firefox on desktop. I close out of Firefox completely, and later when I want to bring it back up it will not load because there is an instance of it running already. That's when I go into the task manager and find at one or more instances running trhat I manually close out.

Sounds like Firefox is "hanging at exit". That problem is frequently caused by an Extension or a Plugin. Read all of the following articles.
