I am running Windows XP SP3 and Firefox 7.0.1. My system runs on 2Gb of ram and has a 2.41GHz processor. The problem I am experiencing is that whenever I run any sort of video using Firefox, the plugin-container.exe program uses in excess of 1Gb of ram, sometimes close to 1.5Gb. Because of this, my entire system crashes on a intermittant basis due to there not being enough memory available. I have checked and I cannot expand this system's memory any further than 2Gb. What I need to know is can plugin-container.exe be disabled in Firefox 7.0.1 and how can I do so? If I cannot disable this program, I will be forced to stop using Firefox to play back video.

It is possible to disable plugin container, but that could result in the Firefox Browser crashing instead of just the plugin container.
