Did you check the error console or web console for errors after a hard reload (Ctrl+F5)?

No. What I'm referring to is when I receive an email(Yahoo) with pics(usually jpg) attached. I can still download them to my computer then run the windows slideshow but the slideshow in Firefox is the problem here.
