Add-ons Aren't Working For My Firefox 17.0.1
Hello. I haven't really gotten into add-ons until today lol. I've got the most up to date Firefox, 17.0.1, on Windows Vista. I've installed an add-on for Youtube. A couple of them. But none are showing up or allowing me to do what they say. When I add the Add-Ons toolbar it is empty. I really can't figure out what's going on. It's probably something like a setting or something.
Anyone able to help me please??

Which add-ons did you install?
Some have an Options button on the about:addons page.
Not all extensions add a toolbar button automatically, so you may need to check that in the toolbar palette.
- View > Toolbars > Customize
- Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
There are also extension that add items to the right-click context menu or the Tools menu, so you can check that out as well.
YouTube to MP3 Converter and YouTube to MP3 PRO
Oh ok. I checked there. No extensions for anything other than the normal things like Print, Download etc.
Even when I go to a YouTube video there just doesn't seem to be any options there to click on to do any downloading.

Extensions may get broken in case YouTube changes the page code or reconfigures their servers.
Maybe try this extension:
- Video DownloadHelper: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/
Thank you.
I tried it, but it requires payment to do certain things like downloading/converting as an mp3 320kbps.
I need one that has more freedom when it says it's 'free' and let's me choose what I want it to download as.
There are a lot of ways to convert videos to mp3.

With only one add-on working, it's just not good enough.
I am having the same problem, but I feel that I can expand on the problem a bit. I've had Firefox for years now, never with a problem, but not a single one of my add-ons are working in 17.01. While two of my apps are in fact disabled because they are not compatible with 17.0.1, the majority of the add-ons in question are enabled when I check under the add-on tab. I have reason to believe that it is Firefox that is giving me trouble and not a case of broken apps, because every app that works for both Internet explorer and Firefox is currently working on Internet explorer. As an aside, while there are some apps that I have which do not automatically add an icon to the toolbar, most of them added an icon automatically and icons appeared for them before the upgrade.
