How can I keep multiple tabs active?

I was surprised to discover that when I switch from a tab to another tab, the first tab is no longer active. That means that if I'm listening to a sound clip (web radio, youtube etc.) I'm not allowed to be surfing at the same time, or else the clip will stop playing and will resume only when I switch back to the original tab. This is very frustrating, and somewhat strange, too. Opera is the only browser that seems to offer this possibility. Is there a way to do that in the current Firefox version, and if not, could you see to it in the next ones?

Hello ndmushroom,

Many browsers out there do the same thing. You can submit you suggestion to the Suggestion Box so that you may see it in the future.

Thanks!
