I just updated my browser from 5.0 (the best version I have ever seen) because it recently started crashing like crazy. Now, to get to any of the options I have to click a small box in the top left of the screen before I can go to file, edit, internet options etc... How do I fix it so that my tools are lain out before me like before as in across the top of my browser?

Also, of my tabs are across the tip top of my screen, how do I put them back across the top of my browsing page instead of at the top of the screen.

I do not understand what idiot thought that defaulting these to the places they did (as in further away and more work to get to in both cases) but I would like to know what I have to do to get them back to their normal locations.

hello, first of all please switch to the latest version of firefox (19.0.2 at the moment) - using outdated versions of the browser affected by numerous known security vulnerabilities will put the integrity of your system and all the personal data on it at risk!

Update Firefox to the latest release

it's easy to get the menu bar back - just right-click on a blank space on the tab-bar (or press alt & go to the view > toolbars menu) & select menu bar.
