A website I frequent www.theozone.net works fine except the reader blog in response to the editorials cannot be viewed I suspect because I blocked ads on forums

I did something recently to rid myself of advertisements on the above web page...actually it's the Columns and Forum page....which is great...ads were driving me nuts...however, I didn't realize that by doing this I also apparently disabled the ability to view the blog or reader's feedback and comments to the editorials which apparently are connected to social media. Perhaps I have to put up with the ads in order to get the other, but don't know how to go back and change it. Perhaps I disabled an add on or I think I uninstalled one of those "ad" add-ons. Is there not a way to view only the blogs, feedback/comments without having the constant ads??

Any help is appreciated.

Joe Miller

I'm not sure which parts are missing for you. Could you give a link to a specific page and point out where you expect to see content that you don't see?

I noticed the comment section is linked in from Facebook (facebook.net).

Do you see other distributed Facebook content on sites, such as the infamous Like button?

jscher2000 thank you...I guess I'm stupid...I'm having real difficulty navigating in this forum....someone just closed a thread where I was attempting to answer your question but I ended up asking another question in order to respond because I didn't know how to return to this link obviously. Anyway.....

Above is a link to an editorial on the ozone site where after you click on "columns and features" you have a list of articles. At the end of each article people write in their comments and feedback similar to a blog.

At the end of the above article when you open the link I cannot view any of the usual comments or feedback from other fans like I used to. I do remember that I think people had to "sign in thru Yahoo or Facebook" to post their comments. I'm not concerned about signing in. I just want to be able to view peoples' remarks and comments.

I only recently have not been able to view and this apparently happened when I did something (can't even remember) to rid myself of the constant ads on the sides of the page. It says advertisements but whatever I did, there are none anymore, which as far as I'm concerned is a good thing, but I DO want to be able to see the blog or reader comments and remarks that are sent in.

Appreciate any help.

Hi Joe,

Can you pull up your troubleshooting information via about:support? Then click copy raw data to clipboard then paste here?

Thanks

The "something" you did probably involved installing an extension. As Moses indicated, the easiest way to post a list of your extensions here is by copying it from the Troubleshooting Information page. Either:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

The copy buttons are in the upper left corner.
