Inbox Message Time Is Wrong By 6 Hours
I am using Thunderbird 24.5.0 on two Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines.
On each machine I have installed a small program called SpeedFan 4.4.9 that monitors the computer's hard drive temperature, fan speeds, etc. When a temperature or speed limit is exceeded an event is created and an email is sent to my email address. The content of the notification email states the date and time the event occurred. The email is sent at the same time the event occurred.
When the email is received in my Thunderbird Inbox the time shown in the Date column is exactly 6 hours earlier than the time the event was created and emailed by SpeedFan. For example, the SpeedFan event notification email states the drive temperature exceeded it's limit at 10 p.m. and the Thunderbird email message header says 4 p.m. and the time in the inbox date column also says 4 p.m. which is 6 hours before the event occurred.
It is interesting to me that the Central time zone that I live in is GMT-6 hours.
When I check the Inbox on my webmail server, the email received time is exactly correct. For some reason it appears that Thunderbird is subtracting 6 hours from the email receive time when the message enters my Thunderbird Inbox.
This is the only message where the time is wrong - all of the other emails in my Thunderbird Inbox have the correct time and my computer system clock is set correctly.
I cannot find any "time" settings in the Thunderbird Options or Account Settings. As I mentioned before the message time is correct in my webmail server Inbox but not in the Thunderbird Inbox.
Does anyone have an idea why the messages in my Thunderbird Inbox are 6 hours earlier than when the message was actually received.

Thunderbird uses the system clock and time zone setting. My guess is the time zone setting is wrong since it is an even 6 hour difference.
The system clock is set to the correct time and time zone. All other Thunderbird messages show the correct time. Only messages that are sent from the SpeedFan application have the wrong time by 6 hours.
Sounds like a speed fan problem.
The SpeedFan developer says SpeedFan is putting the correct timestamp in the notification message body and SpeedFan has nothing to do with the received timestamp added by Thunderbird. The receive timestamp in my webmail server is correct but when the message comes into Thunderbird the receive timestamp is 6 hours early.
ok, please post an image of your timezone setting in the Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines
BTW, how is this speedfan sending it's emails? from a third machine with an SMTP server with the wrong timezone perhaps?
