How do I prevent FF current version from taking over another FF BASED browser? I MUST have a REAL sollution! It took weeks to get version 28 to be immune from the AUSTRAILUS take over! I do not want or need to do it again with COMODO ICE DRAGON or PALE MOON. Both are FF BASED. ICE has been highjacked, MOON has not, at least not yet. Is that browser ready to be attacked? +++++++++++++@gmail.com.

Do the other browsers use the same folder locations as Firefox? If so, that would be a problem for keeping their settings distinct.

This article describes where Firefox saves your settings folder(s): Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

PaleMoon has its' own location for their Profiles. No where near where Firefox Profiles are located. ~/App Data/Moonchild Productions/PaleMoon/Profiles/ If COMODO ICE DRAGON uses the same location as Firefox uses, that's "their bad" and the developer of that app needs to fix it.

Not a Firefox support issue.

NO. All browsers FF based and not all have their own folder location. This is a recent issue with a FF update to version 39 available. COMODO is investigating.
