Please help! I cannot find my emails in my local folders!
I have recently had problems with my computer that required it to go in for repair. I backed up all my files and the repair shop managed to repair my computer without losing any files. My local folders were stored on my c:drive which due to the repair has now become my e:drive (techie people will know what I mean). I have had to download Mozilla Thunderbird again and now my local folders have disappeared. I have located the profile on my e:drive and used this pathway for the local folders. BUT it will not display any of my old messages. I am desperate to sort this as I need those emails for work. Can someone advise me on how to resolve this?
I am certain no data has been lost. I just don't know how to access this or set it up. Any help would be appreciated!

ok. Most important close Thunderbird Open the new profile folder (Help menu > troubleshooting information > Show profile button if you do not know where it is and then close Thunderbird) open the folder mail. (you will see a folder "local Folders" Open the old profile folder and again open the folder mail.
Now copy the old local folders to the new local folders overwriting files as necessary to replace the new with the old.
Open Thunderbird. Now you will have to reset the local folders path.
If the above fails you can copy the entire Thunderbird folder from the old appdata to the new. But that will replace all new mails, so you will need to save them externally to Thunderbird before you do such a thing. so you can re-import them
