Had pop up recommend for security from Mozilla, installed but confused why it needs administration privileges.

Mozilla and the Firefox browser has nothing to do with Glarysoft products and Mozilla nor the Firefox browser would ever give any such recommendations in downloading any such software on Windows, Mac OSX or Linux.

This was probably a popup from either a website or something you already installed or got installed in a new application install or update.

Some download sites like cnet aka download .com can often times bundle stuff with otherwise clean software so you have to be careful.

The homepage for this is http://www.glarysoft.com/software-update/
