I have a mac. Recently there was a notice for an upgraded version of flash - I agreed for the download -- but the file could not be download . I kept getting notices to upgrade but it failed every time.

Hmm, there are some fake notifications that lead to malware, but if the malware was for Windows, that could explain why it didn't "work" on your Mac.

Can you install Flash 22 successfully from Adobe's website:

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
