Nightly build will not open any webpages.
After a nightly update a few weeks ago I stopped being able to open any webpages. I cannot even access internal program webpages such as the options tab so that I could try to turn off the e10 feature. I cannot access about:config either. I tried doing refresh and starting in safe mode but neither of these helped.
I tried a fresh install (deleted my profile and reinstalled) but this did not fix the problem (and it seems it still somehow knows that I had Nightly previously installed so I am not sure I am truly getting a fresh install). I deleted both the local and roaming profile folders...
I gave up in the meantime and installed Firefox 56.0 which is working fine although it does not remember my preferences--I have customized the appearance numerous times and everytime I reopen it it reverts to the old appearance. I mention this only in that it might help with the Nightly problem if there is a shared profile file that it corrupted.
When I start Nightly, it will open but the tabs will not load. There are two processes running and actually two Nightly windows show up in the task bar (one full size and one much smaller).
I am running Windows 7 32 bit

I've added a screenshot of how it looks. The tabs open but no webpage is loaded. You can see from the taskbar that two Nightly windows open. One is the expected window containing the tabs that were open the last time Nightly was closed and the other is some non-maximized window with scrollbars and no content.
Nightly is not a version but refers to one of the development channels.
Release < Beta (b#) < Nightly (a1). There is also the Developers Edition (Aurora) that is same version as Beta with dev features.
The Nightly channel is meant more for Testers and not regular users as it gets checkins and two updates each day in Testing. This can sometimes lead to issues until fixed, finished or reverted.
