I have a particular site that is autopopulating bookmarks multiple times, any advice?

K2motor is continuing to auto create multiple copies of a bookmark that I originally created. I have tried to delete them all and "forget this site" but they come back. Any advice?

Are you using Firefox Sync ? Use a adblocker

and a Cookie Manager

Clear your Flash Cache open from Control Panel Clear your Cache.

I Can not figure out the why to stop it as of yet.

Many websites can add themselves to bookmark/favorite listings when the user tells it to. Could you be doing this by accident?

The System Details list shows this extension that might be responsoble:

  • iCloud Bookmarks 2.1.10 (firefoxdav@icloud.com)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
