Calendar installed itself after I blocked it

I had Thunderbird set up to never install calendar and now it updated and installed it anyway. What do I need to do to uninstall it and block it from getting installed ever again, permanently, forever, until the end of the universe?

LIghtning is considered part of Thunderbird now, so new installs will include it and enable it for sure.

Are you saying you remove and then when updating it' s reinstalled automatically without confirmation ?
